Dans une chambre avec bureau Admission to the Foyer as a resident is selective and candidates must complete an application dossier. We offer places to candidates who are:
  • women
  • between the ages of 18 and 25
  • enrolled as full-time students in one of the univeristies in the Paris region or enrolled in the Cours de Civilisation Française at the Sorbonne.
Students who are enrolled in classe préparatoire may also apply, but the number of places reserved for these students is extremely limited.

Applications from students enrolled in music, architecture, fine arts, graphic arts, etc. are not accepted because the Foyer is not equipped to handle the special needs of these students.

Since the Foyer belongs to the University of Paris, no applications are accepted from students who are enrolled in private schools.
  The rates for the 2011-2012 university year are:
  • 580 Euros per month in a single room
  • 400 Euros per person and per month in a double room
  • 40 Euros enrollment fee
 
   
Students who are interested in places beginning January, 2012 can submit the application form, but answers will not be sent until mid-november. Download the application here.

Short term stays :

Preference is given to students seeking a place for the academic year or semester.  Depending upon to vailability, students who do not meet the admissions criteria can also apply for a short-term stay (3 nights minimum) at the Foyer.

The rates for short stays 2011 are:

April 1 - June 30:

  • 33 Euros per night in a single room
  • 22.50 Euros per person per night in a double room

July 1 - September 30: click here

October 1, 2011 - March 31, 2012:

  • 33 Euros per night in a single room
  • 22.50 Euros per person per night in a double room

There is a special rate for student interns during certain months of the year.

August and September 2011:

  • 925 Euros per month in a single room, breakfast included
  • 675 Euros per person and per month in a double room, breakfast included

From October 2011 through March 2012;

  • 750 Euros per month in a single room
  • 550 Euros per person and per month in a double room
  • To inquire about a room for a short stay, write to infosweb@fie.fr. giving the following information: your exact dates, the number of people, and the type of room (single or double) preferred.
